Before you buy a laptop in Nepal

Nepal laptop checklist · 5 things before you pay Takes 5 minutes
1
Confirm the exact model number and variant
Many laptops share a name but differ in CPU, GPU, RAM and storage. Ask for the exact model number and open Device Manager / About before leaving the store to verify the specs match what you paid for.
2
Check whether the warranty is official Nepal or seller warranty
Official Nepal warranty means service at an authorised centre; seller warranty means only the store handles it. Ask “Is this official Nepal warranty?” and get the answer on the bill.
3
Check if RAM and SSD are upgradeable
Many thin laptops have soldered RAM that cannot be upgraded later. If you plan to upgrade, ask directly: “Is the RAM soldered or is there a free slot?” before buying.
4
Compare the seller price against our verified price
Laptop prices vary a lot between sellers. A price well below the official figure often means grey import or a different variant. Cross-check on our Laptop Price in Nepal page before agreeing.
5
Ask for a VAT bill and check the return policy
Without a VAT bill, warranty claims are difficult regardless of promises. Get a proper bill and ask about the return/exchange policy for defects before you pay.
