About TNC Gadgets

TNC Gadgets is the gadgets vertical of The Nepali Comment, an independent Nepal-based publication. We cover phones, laptops and accessories sold in Nepal — with Nepal prices, Nepal warranty status and Nepal market context as our primary output. We are tool-first, not a news blog.

Why we exist: gadget pricing in Nepal is opaque — there is no public MSRP, official and grey-market stock sit side by side, and prices move weekly. Unlike global spec databases, we track what matters here: official-distributor vs grey-market status, warranty validity, service-centre access, and whether a device’s bands work with NTC and Ncell.

How we research

Specifications are compiled from manufacturer datasheets and official spec pages, cross-referenced against trusted databases. Nepal prices are read from named sellers and distributors, each with a last-verified date. We do not publish specs or prices we cannot verify — where a figure isn’t confirmed we label it indicative or leave it blank. When we find an error, we fix it and record it in our public corrections log.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help structure and draft content. We do not use them to invent specifications, set prices, or form verdicts without human review — full detail is in our AI-use policy.
