Editorial Policy

This policy explains how TNC Gadgets produces editorial content and keeps it independent and accurate.

Editorial independence

No brand, distributor, retailer or advertiser pays for or influences our verdicts. Scores, recommendations and rankings are determined by our research and scoring formula without commercial input. Sponsored content, where it exists, is clearly labelled and never replaces the algorithmic best pick — see our sponsored content policy.

Conflicts of interest

We do not accept payment for positive coverage and we do not accept free products in exchange for favourable reviews. We currently run no affiliate programme; if that changes it will be disclosed in our affiliate disclosure. Anyone with a financial relationship to a brand under review must disclose it and step back from that verdict.

How content is made

Verdicts are research-based: built from verified manufacturer specifications, published benchmarks and Nepal market research — not hands-on testing unless a page states otherwise. AI tools assist only with structuring and drafting, never with inventing specs, setting prices or forming verdicts. See our AI-use policy and methodology.

Corrections

When a factual error is confirmed — by our team, a reader or a third party — we correct it promptly, add a dated note, and record it in the public corrections log. We do not silently change a figure to hide a mistake. Report an error via wrong price, wrong specs, or email.

Scope, updates & accountability

We cover consumer technology available in Nepal; where we write about a category we know less well, we say so. Price pages are reviewed at least monthly and buying guides at least quarterly; every page shows its last-reviewed date. We are a small team: editorial is led and reviewed by (SEO & Editorial Lead), who is responsible for final approval. Questions: gadgets@thenepalicomment.com.
